Joy Grewatz, Principal
Joy joined Meguire Whitney in 2021 and has over a decade of experience working in federal government relations and a strong background in tax and finance policy issues. At the firm, Joy will handle tax, finance, cybersecurity, and transmission issues.
Prior to joining Meguire Whitney, Joy worked as a Legislative and Regulatory Policy Director at the Bond Dealers of America, a trade association representing securities dealers and banks focused in the U.S. fixed income market, where she represented members before Congress and various federal regulatory agencies. Prior to the BDA, Joy was a Legislative Associate, at CapitalEdge, a boutique consulting firm representing local governments in Washington, DC, and as a Legislative Coordinator for the City of Dallas, Texas. Throughout her tenure in these positions, Joy developed legislative strategies to promote clients’ federal interests and served as a policy advisor to mayors, city council members, and CEOs on issues including public finance, economic development, transportation, and homeland security.
Joy received her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Texas at Arlington. She also is a certified Project Management Professional.
