Our Story

Meguire Whitney first opened its doors in 2017, but its story begins many years earlier—on Capitol Hill, where each of our principals got their start.  Our Capitol Hill experience introduced us to energy and resources issues, policy-making, and public power interests. 

Our story also runs through Morgan Meguire, a boutique lobbying firm specializing in the intersection of those issues, processes, and interests that operated for more than 30 years. 

With the establishment of Meguire Whitney, that model continues to serve consumer-owned, not-for-profit electric systems with a team of experienced policy professionals available to provide both substantive depth and comprehensive capacity.  Together, we bring nearly 50 years of public policy experience to bear on our clients’ behalf.
